1. Importance of Reading Newspaper Dialogue.***

Karim: Hi, Good Morning.

Rahim: Good Morning, Karim. What’s up?

Karim: Nothing serious. I’m just thinking about  one thing. Do you know the importance of reading daily newspapers ?

Rahim: Yeah, sure.  Newspaper is the mirror of society. Everything that happens in the society is recorded in the newspaper and presented to the readers.

Karim: How about education, culture and history?

Rahim: My friend, When you reading a newspaper you’ll get many pages and different category of news like sports, education, culture and history. So you’ll get complete package for knowledge in a newspaper.

Karim: You know a lot of thing about newspaper. How do you know that? Do you read daily newspaper?

Rahim: Yes, I did read daily newspaper. But nowadays I read English newspapers on smartphones on the internet.

Karim: Why you are reading English newspaper ?  why not Bangla newspaper?

Rahim: We are native Bengali speaker, right ? Mashallah, I can speak Bengali very well and have good understanding of Bengali grammar. English is international language. That's why I read newspapers in English so that I can improve my speaking and reading skills in English language.

Karim: Sounds really good. You are very clever, you read the news of the country in the newspaper as well as practice the English language, that is two in one.

Rahim: Yeah, that’s right. You should read newspaper daily.

Karim: I think so. Nice to meet you.

Rahim: Have a good day.

2. Advantages and disadvantages of city life and village life Dialogue.**

Shahin: Good Evening, Mehedi.

Mehedi: Good Evening. What’s going on here?

Shahin: Nothing, I'm just walking over here and thinking about difference of city life and village life.

Mehedi: What did you decide? Which life suits you better?

Shahin: I think rural life is much more comfortable, quiet.

Mehedi: There is logic in your words. Have you thought about it? Where are there more benefits such as employment, medical care, education, better roads, living conditions?

Shahin: The city will undoubtedly be ahead in this direction. Do you know that the city has many problems like traffic congestion, noise pollution, air pollution, smell of garbage etc.?

Mehedi: I know about this. But if the city is nicely arranged with clean environment, wide roads then the city is more convenient than the village.

Shahin: Beautifying the city, regulating it, preventing pollution, widening roads, etc. is very complicated and expensive. On the other hand, it is relatively easy and affordable to provide the village with improved facilities, roads, improved medical care, and all kinds of civic services.

Mehedi: You are right, but 60 percent of people in Bangladesh live in villages and I am very numerous, so it will be very expensive to turn all the villages into cities.

Shahin: Ensuring all the facilities of the city in the villages is multi-faceted like it will increase employment, people will not move to the city for work, pressure on the same city will be reduced and it will be easier to beautify the city.

Mehedi: Nice to talk to you. We all should follow the rules of where we live and keep the environment clean so that it remains livable.

Shahin: Nice to meet you.

3. Importance of Tree Plantation Dialogue.***

Shakib: Hi, Pori. Good Afternoon.

Pori: Good Afternoon. What are you doing here ?

Shakib: Nothing serious. Preparing soil for planting trees.

Pori: That’s great. What trees will be planted here?

Shakib: I will plant some fruit and flower tree seedlings here. Do you know the importance of plantation?

Pori: Yes, A little bit, Not too  much.

Shakib: From trees we get flowers, fruits, oxygen, firewood. Trees provide food and nutrients to humans and other animals.

Pori: Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the environment and keep the air pure, protect the balance of the environment, help in rainfall, tree roots, bark act as medicine for various diseases.

Shakib: You’re right. This is why I am planting trees so that people and animals can benefit from them.

Pori: Glad to hear.

((Shakib: Meet next to the mango orchard during tiffin, there is something to talk about.

Pori: See how the tree is benefiting us to make love and keep us hidden !!)---Forget it .. that's for fun.)

Shakib: Nice to meet you.

Pori: Nice to meet you too. Bye.

Shakib: Okay, bye.

4. Importance of Learning English Dialogue.***

Lovely: Hey, Good Morning.

Maria: Good Morning, What’s up?

Lovely: I’m doing well. May I ask you a question about the secret of your English skill?

Maria: Sure. What do you want to know, my dear friend?

Lovely: How do you improve your English speaking and writing skills?

Maria: Four main sectors of English you need to improve. 1st Reading, 2nd Writing, 3rd Speaking and 4th Listening.

Lovely: How can I improve these four sectors?

Maria: It is possible to acquire skills in these four sectors through practice.

(First you need to try to listen and understand English. That's why you can watch English news, movies, and dramas. Can read English newspapers, journals etc. You can practice speaking by speaking with someone who can speak English well. In this way you will gradually become proficient in English.) You can skip this part to make your dialogue small.

Lovely: Do you know the importance of English education?

Maria: Yeah, sure. English is required in all fields of education, medical, science and research. What do you think?

Lovely: English is essential for information technology, communication and international communication. All types of higher education books are written in English language.

Maria: That’s right. The conversation was very nice. It’s nice to talk with you.

Lovely: Sounds really good. Nice to meet you.

Maria: Okay, bye.

Lovely: See ya. bye.

5. How to eradicate illiteracy Dialogue.***

(You can skip the middle part of the first parenthesis (....) to keep your dialog short.)

Mim: Hi, Good Morning.

Myself: Good Morning,

Mim: I watched a program on a private TV channel that the rate of illiteracy and poverty is increasing in our country. Do you know the reason?

Myself: Yes, Little bit. Even though the country's literacy rate has gradually increased after independence, it is not appropriate. We are passing through a period of crisis due to the current global politics which is an important factor in increasing the illiteracy rate.

Mim: Why is the country's poverty rate increasing?

Myself: Due to rise in commodity prices, inflation, rise in value of US dollar etc. in the post-Covid-19 and war period, it has also affected our country. As a result, the rate of poverty in Bangladesh is gradually increasing, which is helping to increase the rate of illiteracy in a very dangerous way.

Mim: Is there no solution? How can we get rid of it?

Myself: Yes, of course. (At this time, the government's politics and diplomatic actions are very important.) In eradicating illiteracy, the government should pay special attention to internally backward communities so that they can be enlightened in the light of education. (I think that the illiteracy rate will be reduced if the government implements more subsidy systems, stipend for students and food in exchange for education, especially in northern areas, pastures and hill towns where living is difficult.)

Mim: You are right. Unemployment and not getting a job according to qualification is another reason for illiteracy, (when one sees his elder brother around him not getting a job even after 20 years of education. Then they lose interest in studies.)

Myself: Our country's education system is not up to standard. (No university in Bangladesh has been ranked among the top 1000 in the world's best universities, while many universities in India and Pakistan have taken the place.)

Mim: You have logic. It’s a very nice discussion. Nice to meet you.

Myself: Nice to meet you too, Bye.

Mim: Okay, bye.
